PROF. ABDUL MONGID BECOME A SOURCE IN A MEDIA UPDATE AND JOURNALIST EVENT IN PALANGKA RAYA CITY
Otto Fitriandy, the head of the Central Kalimantan Financial Services Authority (OJK), urged financial institutions to make information accessible to journalists and the media.
"Since they have the power to influence public opinion. As a result, make it simple for them to obtain information so that good and positive news may be produced, he stated at the beginning of the Media Update and Journalist Class, which was hosted by the Central Kalimantan OJK on Tuesday (27/9/2022).
Other financial organizations like Bank Kalteng and Jamkrida, according to Otto, must collaborate with the media to achieve this.
He stated, "We must work together so that our performance can be known by the public and the news will also be good because if the media does not have access, then the news provided is absolutely not good."
In order for the public to continuously be aware of financial institutions' performance, whether it be formal or informal performance, OJK wishes that regular meetings between the media and other financial institutions can be organized.
On the other hand, Otto also believes that the journalism course will help his journalist friends learn new skills, particularly writing about the economy and receiving news updates on financial institutions.
Prof. Abdul Mongid, a professor at the University of Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas, served as the resource person in the Central Kalimantan OJK's Media Update and Journalist Class. Additionally, Rio Kriswana, Director of Finance of Jamkrida Central Kalimantan, Plt. President Director of Bank Kalteng Ahmad Selanorwanda, and Rydonny BR Simanjuntak, Head of Operations and Services Division of Bank Kalteng (27/09/2022). (Fino FEB)
